4th of July
Our amazing friends Mike and Jill invited us to go up to their family cabin for the 4th of July. The cabin is amazing, it is right on a creek and backs up to the Tonto National Forest! I was in heaven and did not want to go home.
Priceless picture of Tommy on the Hammock with all of the children. When we moved to Power Ranch I had prayed for friends for both myself as well as the children, something we were missing in Chandler. A miracle happened and my prayers were answered. We have the most wonderful friends in the whole world! I love them dearly!

Proud to be an American!
We are always grateful for the service men and women who daily serve our country. It is hard work that comes with long hours and often times a sacrifice in freedoms. My brother Tim is one of those hard working service men who without saying daily sacrifices so much for our country. We are thankful we have the opportunity to see him a few times a year and are so proud of his accomplishments in the military. When Tim came home to visit the kids could not get enough of him, they missed him so much! Here they are saluting our country the same way Tim does on a daily basis. I can honestly say I am proud to be an American, and I won't forget there are men and women who daily serve our country so we can remain safe and free.
Our First Visit to the Dentist
Peyton and Logan did such a wonderful job going to the dentist for the first visit. Going to the dentist can be a scary thing but Dr. Tyler Carter is amazing!!! He helped the children feel comfortable with his child friendly atmosphere and his kid friendly attitude. Peyton even had x-rays done and is proud to announce that she is cavity free. Quite often she asks me if her teeth are "fuzzy enough" to go see her favorite dentist Dr. Carter again.
My own bed!
Where is Logan?
While at Grams house, we were all sitting around talking after a while we realized that Logan had stopped bugging us and we did not know where he was. After searching for a while we realized that he had let himself out into the garage and was sitting on Grams motorized scooter. He had the biggest grin on his face when he realized he was found.

When I think of Iowa, I think of green ever thing; trees that touch the sky, grass that goes on for an eternity and lush plants. Grams house is no exception. My Grams is the little old lady who never ceases to amaze anyone! She is the lady who everyone hopes to be when they grow old. She is so full of spunk and determination to not let anything get the best of her. She does not get around as she use to she has learned to cope with her arthritis by using a motorized scooter. With her scooter she can and does accomplish more than most do in a day. She loves to garden, and it shows!!! Her flowers are that of a florist shop, they are amazing. One night we had some really bad weather and it knocked down some of her lilies. The next day Peyton and my mom (Nana) went out to gather the destroyed flowers. Even in their destruction they were as lovely as if they were still in the ground unharmed. Peyton is smelling the "destroyed" flower bouquet that her and Nana had collected.
