Cary Us!

During our little walk the kids got tired and wanted to be carried. We are so lucky that we have Tony for an extra child holder.

We walked up the rode at the cabin and this was one of the amazing views we had the privlage of experiencing.
Thanksgiving weekend all of the leaves were changing colors, how beautiful the mountians are!

I have the most beautiful Mom and sister in the world. I love them so much, they truly are my best friends!
Logan loves to be in charge of Coco every time we go on a walk. We found this little leash in the storage shed that was left by the previous owners of the cabin, it worked perfictly for Logan.
It rained (not snowed as hoped for) almost the whole weekend on Saturday the rain stopped and we bundled up in our jackets and went for a long walk. It was so much fun. We ran into some people riding their horses and they stopped to let Peyton pet them (she was in heaven!).
Peyton is so excited for Christmas, every pine tree we found on our walk she pointed out the "Christmas Tree" When she saw this little tree she insisted on taking a picture by it. She called it a Charley Brown Christmas Tree (she had just watched the movie earlier in the day).

Sedona Trip

November 27 was our six year aneversary! My dad and Eliza give us a weekend at their time share in Sedona. In addition to that Eliza watched the kids for a night and my mom watched them for a night. We had a whole weekend alone! We did not know what do to with ourselves, since we are so use to having kids to take care of. So, we slept, ate, hiked around Bell Rock (pictured in the background), and just hung out.
Larry saw this little stack of rocks and he deemed it a mountian. He was so proud of himself that he conquered the mountian. Larry always makes me laugh with his corny jokes and contageous smile. I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man who loves me so much and is so good to me.

Apple Pie

Larry's sister Christy makes the best apple pies! I convinced her to come over and teach me just how she does it by providing fresh picked apples from the apple tree that is up by the cabin. I have never had a pie so yummy as the one I learned how to make. Not only is was it yummy it was beautiful! I am so thankful I have sister in laws who love me so much as to help me out with little things like this. Thank you Christy!!!

Peyton came up to me and said "Mommy, take a picture of me holding Logan. I am just like you with a softy on my shoulder." Logan and Peyton are at the ages that they are really starting to play really good with each other. It grants me some free time. Peyton is also on top of the telling on Logan. She loves to say "Mom, Logan is getting into trouble with..." or "Mom, Logan is destroying..." or Mom, Logan is making a really big mess with..." She seems to be my "mommy eyes" when it comes to keeping me informed.

Logan's Day of Trial

The trial was not his, but mine alone. From the moment Logan woke up, he was into discovering the world and used every tool to do it! While I was upstairs getting ready for preschool without me knowing, Logan grabbed a new bottle of Alveno lotion and ventured outside. When I came down stairs I discovered he had taken the top off and was chasing the dogs around the back yard squirting it at them. There was lotion (about half of the bottle) all over the dogs and the grass as well.

During breakfast he decorated the dogs again but this time with granola and milk. Logan has discovered how to get into the refrigerator and take out his milk for his daily craving of a bottle filled HIGH, HIGH, HIGH, to the top or he won't take it. Five minutes before preschool he felt like he was going to pour his own bottle, thank goodness it was outside on the patio. He poured the bottle high, high, high and then some. When I looked outside he had poured the whole gallon into the small 9oz bottle. Right there is more in a gallon than 9oz! There was milk every where. Chloe, bless her heart, was trying her best to get it cleaned up before I found the mess. She was licking it up as fast as she could lap it up. Ahhhhh!!!! The second I yelled "Chloe stop!" and "Logan, what are you doing?" Logan looked up with an Innocent smile and replied "Boddo (bottle) high, high, high" and then Chloe puked all over the place. I count my blessings even in moments like these, it was outside! I quickly put the dogs in their house, Logan inside and pulled out the hose to spray off the patio. Just as I turned off the water I heard the door bell ring as my first student arrived. Saved by the bell for Logan (I did not have enough time to scold him).

Preschool went well enough no major disasters for those two hours, but the day was not over yet. Lunch always is a plea to eat your food, sit down, stop playing. Today, I did not have the energy. After eating my lunch, I got up and started to do my chores that had been seriously neglected. Busy in my own mind, I some how lost track of what Logan was doing. He had slipped out the back door with his bowl of apple sauce and climbed under the trampoline, the dogs joined him. When I realized that the table was vacant and the dogs had vanished, I began to search for my little instigator (as I know him to be). I soon spotted him sitting under the trampoline sharing his apple sauce with the dogs. "Dogs, get in side!" As they came running in I found he had not only fed them apple sauce but decorated their backs as well and were diligently trying to lick it off of each other. This one made me laugh. The dogs were already greasy from the lotion episode and crunchy from the granola and milk earlier in the day, what is a little apple sauce to added to it?

Every mother enjoys nap time, especially after a day like this has proved to be thus far. My exhausted body too needed a rest, and despite the constant interruptions of Peyton, when she did not want to watch a particular cartoon, or when she was hungry, or thirsty, or it was a commercial she felt I should know about, I slept very well.

I felt the day was going much better up until around 5 or 6. What I have recently come to call "The Witching Hour". Logan got ice from the refrigerator and dumped it all over the ground, I am not very flexible but I soon found what doing the splits felt like as I was sprawled on the kitchen floor.

Dinner... I did not have the energy nor the supplies to create a lavish dinner and Larry called and said he was going to be home late, so I rewarded myself for a day in crazy town and ordered pizza. While the kids were eating dinner I put a movie on for them and ventured to check my email. Larry's cousin is putting together a recipe book for their grandmother who is not doing so well, and I was to help input recipes. I called her for a bit of direction when I heard screaming from the other room. I told her I would call her back and I ran out to see what had happened. Logan had struck again!

Peyton came in to the computer room and said they were done eating and I asked her to put the left over pizza on the counter so the dogs would not get it, since the table has become one of their recent discoveries. In the short time I was in on the computer and the phone, Logan had taken liberties to fill a cup numerous times with water and was chasing the dogs yet again. He had to give them a bath after all they had been through today, right? He had not only bathed the dogs, but washed my tile as well. Oh, the screaming I had heard, yes, that was Logan. He was chasing them as he was bathing them and slipped on one of the puddles of water he had intended to wash the floor with. He was laying flat on his back drenched in water screaming at the top of his lungs because he had hit his head. Not only that, but Peyton had miss understood me and had put the box of pizza from the counter onto the table, not the leftover pizza from the table onto the counter. Coco was on the table eating not off the plates but straight from the box, that would have made a wonderful lunch the following day.

At this point I felt my temperature and voice rise to a point they do not typically attempt to go as I yelled at the dogs to go into their house. After calming Logan down and and the mess was cleaned, Larry walked in the door. "They are all yours!" I said, as I disappeared into the computer room for the remainder of the night. Thank goodness for a savior at the end of a day like today!
